A new addition to the Crazy News List
June 19, 2008This story has so many levels of greatness to it I hope I can capture them all. In a time when people can and do sue for any imaginable action, this one may take the cake. I will admit suing McDonald’s for the coffee being hot was bad, but a lady has filed a suit with Victoria’s Secret claiming she was injured by a faulty thong. All kidding aside, I could not make up a story this ridiculous. As I read this story several things jumped out to me as simply being wrong. The first is she is 52. Shouldn’t their be an age limit on those things? I admit there are exceptions to every rule, but in general I would vote in favor of this becoming a law. Second, what kind of underwear is she buying that has metal projectiles attached? I would argue she made a poor choice when she chose those dangerous skivvies. You can read the rest of the story here. Sometimes accidents happen, but do you really want people knowing how you got hurt? I just can’t imagine contacting a lawyer and retelling that story. Then, I can’t really imagine any lawyer taking the case except the economy is down and maybe he was behind on his mortgage.
