LifeMatters
What is LifeMatters? This is what I do everyday. I get the privilege to be the editor of this study. I will be posting some Cover shots and some study descriptions from time to time. You can also download a free sample for your viewing pleasure.
Here are my thoughts behind LifeMatters:
Four major themes will serve as markers on our new path. We are going to be COMFORTABLE. No more talking at you with outdated language. As we walk alongside you on this journey our desire is genuine dialogue and conversation. We are going to be REAL. No more pretending like we are all OK and not in desperate need of God’s grace and a loving community of believers to do life with. No talk of what YOU should do to be a better Christian, but rather discussion of how WE can draw closer to Christ together as His church. We are going to be RELEVANT. No more walking away with the “So what?” question in your mind. We want to help you reconnect with the Bible in a fresh way that will affect your everyday life. We are going to be CONNECTED. No more walking this journey alone. We don’t have all the answers and we’re tired of pretending we do. We will, however, embrace God and together seek His will and direction for our lives. We are the church, not a building but a gathering of common pilgrims. We must be real together, even a bit vulnerable. We must be connected to each other in ways that bypass surface mediocrity. This is my plea for us as a generation of Young Adults, and my prayer for the direction of this new ministry. I am on this journey with you. As Christ leads we will follow. It is time we admit we are all broken, and decide to be broken together. Will you actively join me on this journey?
Does this sound like a study you would like to be a part of?
What kind of Bible study are you currently doing?
Whhat kind would you like to do?
Do you have a community to study with?
Here is what I inherited when I came to work at LifeWay:

Needless to say, the internal workings mirrored the covers. The rollerbladers I am thinking was an early 90′s photo. The other cover is not too bad, at least the couple looks like a couple you would see in today’s world. We decided to go a different route with our new study. So we gutted LifeAnswers and created LifeMatters The covers are different and so is the content. Our first study came out in December and we have now completed our fourth.
Things are moving in the right direction!
